I have read the article Say Goodbye to Mystery Meat : NYC Elementary School Goes All Vegetarian. I think it's good that there are schools who wants to change something about the unhealthy habits of their school, but I find they do it on a totaly wrong way.

There are a lot of parents and some students totaly agree with the idea of a vegetarian school. I think it is not good that the school oblige all their students to be vegetarian. It is their own chose if they want to eat meat or not. The school can make one day in the week a vegetarian meal for all their students, to be a healthier school. They can also make two meals for their students. The students who wants to eat vegetarian can eat vegetarian and the students who don not want to be a vegetarian can eat meat. So are all the students happy!
They also say that vegetarain people live longer, that the chance of getting a disease is smaller by vegetarians than people who eat meat. But a vegetarian diet may result to a shortage of vitamin B12 and if we do not eat to much meat, there is not a problem.

I find it is not a good idea to make a school all vegetarian because it is the own chose of the studenst if they want to be a vegetarian or not and if they eat meat in limites, they also can live a long and healthy life.
