I have interviewed Emma and I asked her what her most thrilling thing was that she has ever done.
She told me about her rafting story that suposed to be thrilling but it wasn't at all.
When she was eleven years old, she went rafting with her family in Italy. She was sitting in the boat with her parents and her brother and a monitor. They were peddeling on the river, but the river was quite boring she said. There were just a few rocks in the river. Sometimes there was a little waterfall.
One moment, the monitor said you can jump off the boat and swim into the stream. That was really difficult and tiring said Emma. You had also a rock of 4 meter high where you could jump off into the river. Emma may not spring because she was too young, but her brother did jump. He said that it was really amazing to do that, it gaves him a kick he said.
When they did arrived, they had forgotten to take the boat out the river so the boat has floaing a 100 meters further. The monitors had to go get the boat and bring him back.
When they were leaving, they have paid the monitor for the rafting.
When they were home they have said to each other that they would never go back to that rafting but they would go to a wild river where you can go rafting.
So that was the thrilling story (that wasn't thrilling at all) off Emma Uittenhove.
